Routing Github emails to different addresses

If you belong to different organisations on Github you might want to route notification emails to different email addresses.

I personally have a private Github account which I also use at work. I belong to 3 organisations on Github and I want all my emails concerning my private projects to go to my personal inbox, and all of the organisational project notifications to go to my work email.

Fortunately Github enables this. All you have to do is to go to Settings --> Notifications and at the bottom of the page you can see the Custom routing section.

It should contain the list of all of your organisations and for each one you can select an email address from a drop-down list.

If the email you'd like to route to isn't there, make sure you've added it under Settings --> Emails first.
